This site is dedicated to the memory of Sean Morrissey.
After a terrible accident as a teenager, Sean was handed a guitar to help him recover in hospital. He soon realized that his love was with the bass guitar.
After many hours listening to songs and practising, he joined his first band at the age of 16 in Kildare, Ireland.
At the age of 27 Sean moved to Liverpool and with a great passion for music and live gigs Sean became a big part of the live music scene. There he became one of the founding members of “ A Band with No Name”.
Sean’s long term partner Nerys Jones would often describe herself as a “music widow” as his love for playing was so great that he would even talk about it in his sleep!
Sean was at his most happy when he had either Nerys or his Bass guitar in his arms. Sean sadly passed away on the 5th April 2011 at the age of 45. It has been a great loss to all who knew him but his legacy will never be forgotten, nor his passion and dedication to live music in the North West.
